What does autumn mean to you?
How do you make the transition from one season to the next?
Are you aware of the change of weather, the smells, the light?
Can you feel in your body, mind, and spirit what nature is showing us?
As we shift from the summer to the fall, the light decreases every day.
As we move into the autumn, leaves change their color and fall to the ground.
As we allow ourselves to adjust to the ever-changing landscape of nature, we must let go.
Letting go of what was and moving with what is.
Balancing our daily schedules to include time for letting go and reflection.
It is essential that we forgive the past and live in the present with gratitude.
It is a gift to ourselves to appreciate who we are and how much we have learned.
It is a blessing to our world and those around us to honor the earth and its bounty.
Often we take the essentials of this life for granted and forget to be grateful.
We spend so much energy on achieving, defending, fixing, and controlling that we may lose sight of enjoying ourselves.
We may find ourselves struggling and working to manage the complexity of everyday life.
We often neglect the very purpose for which we are here on this earth.
Take time today to take a drive into the countryside.
Walk in a park or forest or on the beach.
Honor the sun’s rise and setting by gazing from your window with enjoyment.
Plant a flower or a tree, touch the earth, and feel the wind and sun on your face.
Every time we give a moment of respectful appreciation for the natural riches we have inherited, we offer our blessing of gratitude.
What we respect, we value and appreciate.
What we value and appreciate, we generate an increase and expansion.
Our worldly paradise deserves our positive attention.
Clean up trash and litter.
Recycle and only use what is needed.
Eliminate unnecessary spending and consumption.
Use wisely and well what you have and share the rest with those who have need.
To be good stewards of our earthly home is to do harm to nothing.
To be good stewards is to create only that which is beneficial to all.
To be good stewards of time, energy, and resources is to give our very best to everyone.
To be good stewards is to trust, honor, and respect our inner Goodness.
